    FOLDING & TELESCOPING STOCK LAWS??

OK, can someone straighten this out for me.

Evil feature Folding Stocks. I doesn't say anywhere I have found, that they are legal when folded if you can or cannot fire them when they are folded, it just states FOLDING STOCKS are an evil feature. Please let me know where it states that when a folding stock is folded and can or cannot fire it is exempt from the definition of having an evil feature!!

Shortest fireable configuration is 30". Most AK's are 26" when folded so they need a barrel extension. There is another gun that breaks down shorter but won't be able to fire.

It's not the stock, it's the length that triggers the law.

OP, you are mixing two different sets of laws.

Folding or telescoping stock is for purposes of an defining whether a rifle is an assault weapon.

Being able to fire a rifle while the stock is folded concerns whether it is center-fire semi-auto rifle having an overall length less than 30". If folded and overall length of <30" and the rifle can be fired in that configuration, it is illegal. This is not an AW issue, but simply rifle issue.

If non-semi auto, the overall length has to be at least 26".
