    Flash Bang 3.0

Not sure if legal in CA?

This order is for PRE-ORDERS. We will ship these around the middle of April. You will get a tracking number mailed to you when that occurs.

    **No Special HAZMAT Fees**

These are excellent training devices for police and military. Why? Because the ATF does not designate this as a destructive device. That means there's no paperwork and no red tape for these bangers. The rule states that 6 grams or more is a destructive device, and these only have 4.8 grams.

That said, we will sell to any civilian who can legally purchase them (US citizen, 18yrs or older). Please check your local laws, do not ask us as we are not lawyers and every jurisdiction is different. US SALES ONLY. These will ship UPS only- Cannot ship to Hawaii or Alaska. If you checkout with a PO BOX, please put your physical address in the comments section.

Will 4.8 grams still work? For sure! It's less intense than a real military flash bang (by about 1/2), but it still hits you at about 120 decibles in the chest, not a high-pitched bang, but a solid earth-shaking bang. Perfect for use in closed areas where you would normally use a flash bang.

They have a wire pull and the fuse lasts 4.5 seconds. Plenty of time to toss it though a window or doorway. See the video below for a short demo.

    FAQ

Are they legal? Yes, in the US, for their intended purpose. (training, etc.) Do not modify them. Do not export them. Do not fly with them.

How long is the fuse? ~4.5 seconds.

Are they hot? No. They are a "Cool Burn" and have no external flame. The casing will get warm after it's burned out (190 F) and the initial smoke coming out is warm. However, you must use caution as it may catch leaves and debris on fire.

What are the dimensions? Diameter: 40mm & Length: 130mm or 1 2/3" diameter and 5 1/4" tall. These are about the same height as the EG18X, and just a little bit skinnier.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

Meets CA's definition of a destructive device. [PC 16460(a)(2)]

CA legal if you have a CA DOJ Dangerous Weapons Permit for a DD.

    Penal Code 16460
    (a) As used in Sections 16510, 16520, and 16780, and in Chapter 1 (commencing with Section 18710) of Division 5 of Title 2, “destructive device” includes any of the following weapons:
    (2) Any bomb, grenade, explosive missile, or similar device or any launching device therefor.

    Penal Code 18710
    (a) Except as provided by this chapter, any person, firm, or corporation who, within this state, possesses any destructive device, other than fixed ammunition of a caliber greater than .60 caliber, is guilty of a public offense.
    (b) A person, firm, or corporation who is convicted of an offense under subdivision (a) shall be punished by imprisonment in the county jail for a term not to exceed one year, or in state prison, or by a fine not to exceed ten thousand dollars ($10,000), or by both this fine and imprisonment.

There is exception in DD for signaling devices, it's a signaling device used to attract attention.. Same reason parachute flares and smoke grenades are legal in CA.

The "emergency signaling device" exemption only pertains to a launcher and distress signal ammo for the launcher, it does not include hand thrown devices. [PC 16460(a)(4)]

Guess that was an assumption on my part, I've been at large airsoft events in so Cal where both the fire Marshall and police were present due it's location in a large city. They looked over what was being used and didn't bat an eye in saying everything there was fine. There are major CA airsoft/paintball retailers selling enola Gaye in large numbers. There are also hand thrown devices for boats (smoke) that can be had at any boat shop. I think there is more to it than what you cited...

For example, snap caps are pyro but not illegal because they don't fall under classifications of dangerous fireworks or safe and sane:

Nor are they DD, so while "smoke grenade" seems an easy DD, the grenade part is a marketing term (it's a cardboard tube) and the pyro part has too fit criteria to be labeled dangerous firework or safe and sane. I have a hard time seeing where every paintball/airsoft store in CA is selling DD and those are being used on a daily basis by kids no less and that everyone is just ok with that... they are ok because they aren't DD nor fireworks due to how they are constructed.

It's kinda like the retailers that are / were selling tannerite.....

If you have these and use them in a good way, no cop ever has to look at a rule book.....

The CA code is so insane that they could potentially charge you....

Just look at the DOJ and not ruling on the monsterman grip- is it legal? They won't say.....

OP - thanks for sharing the product
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
                  (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

If it's considered a "signalling device", then it's use outside an emergency is illegal.

"bird bomb" is perfectly legal-as long as it is used in an agricultural setting.

I guess it's like Tannerite-don't use it in areas where someone would alert the cops. Unmixed Tannerite is just two inert compounds. Mixed Tannerite is an explosive. OK to sell, but mixed in public or transported in your trunk probably would fall under one of the rules. Ammonium Nitrate, common fertilizer is legal to purchase. Diesel, a combustible liquid, no problem. "Accidently" spill diesel on your fertilizer, you become Timothy McVeigh's accomplice.

Cops probably would look at the Flash Bang and impound it as a public nuisance like they did with 30 round magazines, bird bombs, and other illegal fireworks.
