Anyone else's Surefire XC1 battery die fast???

Bought one from a reputable vendor that alot of us use. In the reviews/specs the duration of use for the light is 1hr while on.

Seems like I have to replace the batteries every 2-3 days....when I use it literally about 30seconds to functions test it and maybe "clearing a room" when I get bored.

This was from the factory provided battery, and several different brand batteries as well.

I checked to make sure when it sits in the holster that it doesn't hit the continuous on button...

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

A google search pops up multiple hits of reported/perceived battery drain issues. Seems most people go back to the X300U

In the meantime, if you put the gun away for extended periods id suggest putting a handheld next to the gun and removing the battery and placing it on top of the gun until you put the gun back on

Dang, 2-3 days is junk.

At least AAA's you can buy in bulk for cheap, compared to the pricey 123a that most tac lights use.

I wonder if surefire has been addressed, I've wanted an XC1 for my g19 due to it being compact and not much bulk for CCW

I wonder if the streamlight TLR-6 is any good

Got one for xmas, I've used it a handful of times for practice around the house. Works fine. It's got an eveready lithium AAA in it. Guess I got lucky?

My whole XC1 unit failed on me during my first range trip, got a refund and went back to the TLR2.
