Obama signed an order that made SOME SSI recipients prohibited.
It only impacted those who had their checks sent to a 3rd party because they were not competent to handle their own finances.

That's a pretty damned low standard for "mental incompetence"... most college students are not competent to handle their own finances.

Right......besides I would venture that a fair number of those SSDI recipients having their finances handled by a trusted 3rd party, are suffering from chronic physical
aliments and it's makes their life easier to have someone trust worthy handle their finances....even though their mental faculties would allow them to still do it themselves

The Obama order cited only those have their finances managed for "mental" imparment reasons, not physical disabilities. FWIW.

The government can't even handle [I]our[/our] finances. If we managed our finances like the government does, we'd be homeless or in jail.

The two can be linked, the stress of physical disabilities, side effects of medication to treat such can have some effects on cognitive function ....fortunately, Obama's order was apparently rescinded.
