    Why would it not be? Must cycle slide "manually" for every shot. There are many older pump shotties that will slam fire if the trigger is held back.

      Winchester Model 97 is another one I can think of.
      + it's a take down.

                    Slam fire is defined as charging the shotgun and the round would fire as it entered the chamber, without your finger on the trigger.
                    Mine needs the trigger pulled back as you charge, for the round to go off.

                      Winchester model 12 will also fire as soon as the bolt goes in battery if you hold the trigger down. There is no trigger reset. You can pull the trigger once, hold it, and bang off all the rounds by cycling the pump.

                      And yes, they are legal in CA.

                        "Slam fire" is commonly used to describe a shotgun without a disconnector. You're apparently using the definition of slam fire related to a rifle or pistol, which you definitely do NOT want.

                        My 3 model 37's and a Savage-Stevens 620 all slam fire.
