Best Glock 17 Gen 3 trigger upgrade?

    Hey guys,

It's been years since I've upgraded any Glock triggers and I'm familiar with the ghost connectors. However, I'm looking to upgrade a new Glock 17 Gen 3 that I purchased and want to use at my 4 day Front Sight course coming up in a few months. Their rules require the triggers to not be any less than 4lbs.

Do you guys have recommendations? I've done a little research on the Zev systems, but haven't had the chance to actually use them. Also, if you don't mind telling me where I can get the best price. I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks!

Just keep your stock trigger. Do a .25cent trigger job on it. You can check out youtube videos on how to do it.

Stock trigger with 6# trigger spring & Glock (-) connector, follow up with 25 cent trigger polish and you should end up about 4 1/2# smooth trigger. About $20 invested...

i have purchased most of them, started with zev, was told salient was awesome so i tried that, bought a mcnally and a couple others and i went back to zev.

they are expensive but imo you get what you pay for. the salient was the only ****ty one i ever owned, the rest were ok.

if i were to put something right behind the zev, i would choose the mcnally.

ZEV has been on the market the longest. Metal trigger feels more consistent to me than plastic, especially during extended shooting sessions with high round count.
Else try this site, it has a good selection for different needs.

Pyramid from Glockstore is the best I have tried but I'm self admittedly not a Glock guy and that is the closest to the Apex trigger I can get to it in Glock. for $250 for the whole job it's a bit pricey but worth it. Surprisingly I haven't tried the Apex Glock trigger or Htve but the pyramid is so good I wouldn't bother trying to beat it.

Thanks guys, I'll check out the different recommendations. Maybe even play with polishing my own to see what I can do.

I put in the apex thin blue line on mine and it feels great dry firing. Need to take it to the range tho

I like Ghost Rocket. It allows me to remove most of the overtravel, making for a nice short reset.

Add some judicious polishing and a competition trigger spring and striker spring from Zev and it's a pretty nice trigger and doesn't break the bank.

Alternative view on the Pyramid Ultimate from the Glockstore. Better than factory for sure, but worth nowhere near what they charge. Mine was professionally installed by them for the record. Go Apex

Practice! Or play with the wife/gf more often to strengthen your trigger finger...

Thanks again guys, I'm starting off with polishing my own trigger components to see what I can do personally. Then I may end up going with a Glocktrigger or Zev, if I don't like the outcome.
