I liked it. The segment still had that, "These are a bunch of hillbillies" ring to it with that lame background music, but it did show that gun owners are just regular people who want to have fun, but also be able to protect their families and possession from ***holes. Instead of a bunch of retarded politicians who think they know better, these were regular ole folks.

Good reporting, no loaded questions.

The usual is showing some crying mother of a drug dealing ex felon gangbanger who got shot dead by another drug dealing ex felon gangbanger. Then cut to a video of a full auto AK47. Then the mother saying her son was just trying to turn his life around and walking to a church youth program...at 2:30 in the morning....carrying a gun...and a wad of cash...and drugs......for a friend.

My sister followed them around the range with her own video camera and filmed everything they did so there would be no spin. She said he had a ball shooting the AR, we may have a convert.
I liked the fact that his questions got answered with straight forward answers, and they didn't try to make it look like a bunch of illiterate rednecks with guns.

I thought it would be a hit piece, especially with the goat-roping music in the background. I was pleasantly surprised that it was not slanted at all.

Not really surprised. DL seems to bust up on everyone a little. Like a comedian. Mostly they tend to keep a more open mind than your expose' pieces by the supposedly objective serious reporters.
