So I was on midwayusa.com looking at ammo when I stumbled across

I did a quick search here and found nothing watched a youtube video review and got little more interested.

My question is if anyone here has actually tried this ammo??

One buddy that I gave a box to doesn't even have a 9mm.

Appears to be powdercoated.
Would be interesting to recover a spent round and see if the rifling has cut through the coating.

Something like this might be more suited for the Glock and other hexagonal/octagonal barrels.

Polymer coating to reduce friction

If it's anything like the j&m hi-tek polymer coating then they work very well through just about any barrel, hexagonal or traditional rifling. I've been using BBI bullets for my reloads for quite a while now and they are a cost effective option.

They come in different colors as well - green, red, gold, black, blue, etc. depending on who you get them from.

The only downside I've seen is that they are a bit smoky when shooting. No increase or decrease in barrel fouling.

A friend bought some. Shoots ok, not too dirty, but smells like burning rubber and dog ****. Accuracy was terrible.

Is that a normal bake on polymer coating or is it something else like a plastic coating?

i wonder if this is the same thing as the herters TMJ ammo with the blue polymer coated bullets.
