Ammo feeding issues with Glock 43

I was wondering if anyone had any ammo feed issues with the Glock 43.

I was shooting self-defense hollow point, and I had four failure to feed issues in four magazine runs. I didn't have any with round nose ammo.

When I re-ran the hollow points that had failed, they did run through the second time...there were not light strikes on the primer...they were failure to feed errors.

    Thanks for your help.

(sorry about previously deleting it...it didn't know that this was helpful...thanks for your suggestion to repost it...)

I've had a few issues with my 43 and FMJ ball ammo as well. It's a very small gun and I have large hands. I believe I may be having a hard time keeping a firm grip on it. Essentially limp wristing it. I have no problems with my 19 using the sane ammo and I'm able to grip it better.

              I endorse this retain-the-post idea.

                Cliffs notes:

                G43 FTF
                Hollow points

Suggestion was Gold Dots run OK in one guy's gun, and OP should look out for limp wrist because G43 is hard to grip for some folks.

I agree the thread should be left to develop. It could be another problem entirely. We didn't even get to asking about +1 baseplates, mag springs etc.

The thread is back...sorry about that...

I was using a +1 baseplate for one mag, but I'd have to go back and repeat the drill to determine if it was that one mag...and I will check the limp wrist...when I was doing the drill I wondered about that...so I corrected for it, but the failure to feed was still there...

                    Mine feeds anything, always has.

What are/were you shooting, ammo wise?

If the problem is solved, what was it?

The problem might be the hollow points.

Their overall length might be an issue, maybe some had set back, not enough pop to rechamber.

I've got a pair of them, and they have been flawless so far. I made a big batch of 9mm ammo with slightly oversized lead bullets, that won't chamber in any other 9mm I have besides my Hi Points, and they shoot fine and are accurate in my G43s. No problemos so far!
