    American Bluing co. In bay area

    Anyone ever use them for a refinish? How did it come out?

                          Indeed it is, when you know htf to use it. Iirc, OP asked as to "American Bluing co. In bay area"...which I assume refers to the SF bay area. That said, the lmgify shows American Bluing in Vermont.

                          Meanwhile, I found these guys in SLC...talked to George there yesterday. Prices are great, turnaround around 1 week from receipt. Quality Plating SLC

                          Though OP is looking for bluing, I need an 870 barrel parkerized...they do both and have an FFL so if need be you could send the piece with the sn.

                              There's bluesteel in Fairfield. Haven't done business with them but I do know they refinish stuff.

                                  A friend of mine had them cut down and parkerize an old winchester 97 years ago. Turned out really nice.

                                  I've had some other minor work done there as well.

                                  I'm referring to the shop in Rodeo. (American Bluing Company)
