Featureless + Bullet Button = AW

Will keeping a bullet button on my featureless rifle make it an AW?

Why do I have the BB on a featureless rifle? I'm too lazy to remove it right now but it will come off in the near future.

    Not to my understanding.

As of 1/1/17 there is no legal difference between a BB and a regular mag release.

This mostly means that it won't help if you have features, but it also won't do anything if you have featureless.

No. You can have any kind of mag release /lock on your featureless build.

While the regs haven't been officially published, the initial information is that registration would NOT permit the removal of the BB from an AW.

Yes, that would be a double standard based on the previous registrations of 2000-2001 when BB didn't exist...but when has Kali made any sense...

On a related note...a BB was/is not considered a feature...it was a never approved nor disallowed work around for Kali AW regs...until 2017

So current understandings pending publication of the new regs is if you register, that BB is likely gonna have to stay; pending court challenges for a double standard.

Changing to featureless seems to imply entitlement to whatever mag release you want since it was never a feature...and your now featureless is just like any other CFSA rifle

There has been talk by some that even changing to featureless may require retention of the BB...but that in and of itself doesn't make your featureless an AW...

Most, including me, have removed the BB after going featureless...but I never felt compelled to remove it for fear of having an AW because of it
