    This Mac flat legal in CA????

    I wouldn't mind building a rifle out of this flat if possible. Not sure if I can get it shipped here.

    Yes it is legal. It is not a firearm, and it cannot accept a magazine the way it is.

    It is also not a MAC. It is not listed under the RR assault weapons law because you are not one of the named manufacturers.

    (3) The following MAC types:
    (A) RPB Industries Inc. sM10 and M11.
    (B) SWD Incorporated M-11.

    (D) Military Armament Corp. Ingram M-11.

          not since 1982. ATF basically declared that open-bolt semi auto firearms are considered to be machineguns.
