If you are thinking of Uber as in the ride share service, I don't think ether owns one or the other. Seems like ether it is a parent company with the same name (most likely incorporated in different states) or just bad coding on the web page. Nothing on the website I can see says Uber besides that one spot in the address line of the browser.

I believe this is correct. The officially registered business name is UBER INC (Not the same as the ride share service) but they do business as Riflegear.

They were called Uber, Inc officially well before the car service was dreamt up. That has always been the corporate name.

official Corporate names are usually different on paper.

Our corporation has an official name listed and will pop up with it on your credit card statement. But the store name we use is different.

If you're OG enough to remember the original tiny riflegear store that only fit like 3 people inside the store front, It had a sign outside on the wall that said Uber Inc.
