    RIA M1911-A1 MS guide rod?

Hey fellas I need some help. So my cousin broke the guide rod on his RIA 1911 MS. This is the older version so the guide rods they sell online are 3.25". The one I need is 3" with the hole for the disassembly. I called Armscor and was told to go to gunpartscorp.com but I couldn't find anything. So the lady told me that I'm going to have to send it in, and I'm trying to avoid that. Can someone help me find this damn guide rod? Lol

I'd check with Brownells, Gun Parts Corp. (Numrich Arms), and maybe Midway in that order. You could also check the 1911 forum.

He forced the guide rod out, not knowing you had to use the little tool to remove it.

How? I don't think you can on this model. It has a reverse spring plug and it has no barrel bushing.
