I like Oak Tree. Skeet range is seldom packed. The steel gallery has plates. I can practice speed shooting on. Range officers are pretty cool. Has an actual canteen.

I dont care for their rifle range though. 100 yard rifle range is not interesting to me.
Well at least you're honest and own up to it.

Ever since they supported Smart Gun, I stop supporting them. We have several other ranges in our area, no need to give these Bozo the business.

                I like that range also.

What's with the bad press of Oak Tree?

Last time I've read they no longer support Armatix. Not sure why people are still hating on Oak Tree.

I wrote to the previous owner about this. Obviously, the people who run the pistol range are incredibly ignorant about ballistics. I asked the range employee why we can't fire pistol ammo out of a rifle. He actually said firing a 44 Special out of a rifle puts the velocity in the 44 Magnum range & firing 45 Colt out of a rifle gives it the same power as a 454 Casull & destroys their steel targets. He wasn't a young, stupid guy; he was an older guy who should know better.

During one visit, I was shooting my Ruger Super Redhawk with 44 Specials. A different idiot told me I can't shoot "Magnums" on their steel targets. I tried to explain that I was shooting 44 Special in a 44 Magnum. He actually said "If you're shooting a magnum revolver, you're shooting magnums." I didn't bother arguing with the idiot; I just left & went to another range. I don't know if they have since hired people with at least half a brain; I haven't been back since.

They wouldn't let me sell an AR pistol because I didn't bring in the original DROS form (WHO DOES THAT?). They then tried to tell me I built an illegal SBR and they can't transfer an illegal gun. No questions, just accusations. Yeah, **** that place.

Kes has personally posted the REAL Armatix story. And thus that is ancient History and no reason not to go there.

I used to complain about their horrible Customer service but the last two or three times I was there the service was excellent, friendly staff, fast and efficient.

The Antis love it when we eat our own, they would love to see Oak Tree or any venue closed.

Nothing promotes safety like music so loud you cannot hear if someone called cease fire, or talk to your friend without shouting.

                              Target stands are a joke.

Since Piru is only another ~20mins, go there instead. You can go 1k and they also have steel for pistol and rifle. Believe it or not, Mike will repaint the steel during cease fires.

Let me ask all the Oak Tree fanboys out there this question. Let's say you have this friend and he/she stabbed your back & sell you short for some money, would you still be friend with him/her? If your answer is Yes, then you got no moral value.
