lax range memberships

i've been frequenting the lax range for the pst few months or so trying to nail down which pistol i want to buy as my first. no matter the day, lax is BUSY. i was looking at their VIP membership (pricey @ $450) and when doing the math, it can be worthwhile if you go very often. the main benefit seems to be priority no waiting.. and with time being so precious (kids, job, life), i find this appealing as i plan to shoot often to become a better shooter. (at least 2x a month).

i'm near culver city so i believe i have the van nuys range as an option (though further away and valley traffic).

i'd appreciate any thoughts on this and if anyone has experience with it.

I just buy the month to month membership for $50; I'm not that committed to staying in LA so I try not to commit to anything. For $50 it's still a decent deal, and I go early PM weekdays so the line is generally (but not always) minimal.

It would be a bit of a drive for you, (all freeway) give some consideration to Oak Tree a first range. Rifle, pistol and shotgun. You can have a great burger and a beer after the guns are put away.

thanks for the advice. i should probably go m2m for now. but i am SO excited to shoot.

i will definitely check out oak tree. it is a bit of a drive but outdoor is always a plus.
