Fin grips and thumb rests

It seems some people like the fin grips Exile Machine has put out for the Magpul MIAD grips. These incorporate a shelf for the thumb to rest on on the right side of the grip for right handers, and vice versa. I dont have a MIAD grip but I thought of others who might not have MIAD but have a fin grip of some sort and would like a thumb rest.

Couldnt someone make a takedown pin that could incorporate a thumb rest into it? The rest can also be used as an enhanced handle to pull out stubborn pins
