I have a theory I want proven or disproven by the knowledgable here: Do some companies cater more towards certain sectors of the shooting community than others? I mean like, some cater to hunters, others the self-defense crowd, others for competitive shooting. If I am correct and some cater more to some types than others, my real question is which companies would you guys consider to be a certain "type" of gun company?
Like, what would one categorize CZ-USA or Springfield? Both make rifles and pistols, and CZ also makings several shotguns and bolt actions for hunting. So, that would make them more of an all-around company, right? Does my theory of some companies having a certain focus hold any water? Answers on this random thought would be very well appreciated.
