I would love to own a p220 SAO Stormvet. You are very lucky indeed. There's been some buzz that a Legion 220 SAO is on the way. Since I'm a 1911 shooter primarily the safety is 2nd nature for me. That said, I do have to "double-thumb" the safety on this one to engage it much like my SP01. The Sig has a very positive and reassuring "click" to it and I like that. Disengaging the safety is the same as a 1911 with no issues.

Dry testing of the reset on this new one is impressive. I think I'll keep it.

That's so the pistol grip does not protrude conspicuously underneath the trigger mechanism.

The only other Sig that has that straight trigger is the X5/X6 super Match . I am glad that now that they also use on the P226 Legion. The next one will be the US P320 X5.

I was messing with trigger finger placement last night and it's pretty forgiving. I think in general it should be easy to shoot well.

Fellow competitor brought one out during an IDPA match and I had a chance to shoot it. Trigger and the way it handles are unreal.

One of these is on my short list.

Absolutely great bang for the buck pistol!

Already used to the short reset on my other sigs, but you're right about it pointing just right.

A guy had a P226 SAO Legion at a Bruce Gray course I took last year. We could not believe how amazing the trigger was, especially the reset. It's gotta be the best non-1911 factory trigger I've ever felt.

But man I'm in love. Points beautifully, trigger and reset are far superior to most in stock configuration. Grips are nice and sticky; checkering in all the right places. Pistol is beefy and balanced with a beautiful finish even covered with factory gunk. Jury still out on the sights until range time although the front sight acquisition is quick with a few practice draws. Sig did a nice job overall.
