Do you check your ammo before loading?

Okay just tried dropping a 9mm into the .357, no go sticks out. Grabbed a .380 auto, it goes but keeps on going - so no not a .380 auto.

OP did you by chance keep the casing that got stuck? Did you verify it was a 9mm or just take the RSO at his word?

Sounds more like over pressure .38 spcl.

I didn't keep it but I saw it and it was a 9mm casing. Thinking more about this, I think what may have happened is it was a .38 spl that bulged got stuck and when the RSO knocked it out it fell to the floor and he picked up a 9mm which happened to be the same manufacturer. 9mm definitely does not seat in the cylinder so I do not see how the cylinder would have closed and the round would have fired.

38 super. It has higher operating pressure than 38 special and smaller diameter. I've seen this happen before. Jammed good.

I weighed a bunch of my ,308 ammo after I had a squib due to insufficient powder.
That was commercial ammo.

I had a squib 300 Blk a couple of weeks ago and that was my own load.
Now I'm weighing them.

And I'm keeping a close eye on the powder cop.
