MPX featureless. Would this work?

So instead of getting an impossible to find new barrel or cutting and rewelding a new device cant i just cut prongs off of the flash hider?

There are 6 prongs and if i cut 4 off it shohld no longet function as a flash hider.

If the MPX muzzle device is 1/2-28, then any break that you can find and still have barrel > 16-inch should work. There are a few 9-mm muzzle devices but they look shorter than your photo.

I don't think Sig has offered any OEM barrels for the MPX or MCX yet?

Because it would just be 2 prongs extending off a barrel connecting to a circle.

Would that still serve as a flash hider?

Original barrel is 13.3" long with the FH pin/welded.

The CG AW chart on the second page has some advice on what constitutes a flash hider and muzzle break. The key to that is a closed front end with only a hole for the bullet to exit.

That brings us to something I have been thinking about. Can you argue that the rifle does not have a flash hider just because it is covered? The law says nothing about it actually being functional
