    Burro canyon private ranges

Can someone tell me if the private ranges are always booked each weekend and also how many they have? The reason I ask is the range I shoot at is going to put in a large number of them. This by not renewing the club leases.

There about 15 private ranges and they are booked months ahead, at least on weekends.

        Just book now.

For several years I rented the same range the first Saturday of every month, booked annually. It worked out great, we were always on the schedule and didn't have to worry about it.

I would love to shoot at a private range, but they always say a Range officer has to be present so I stick to the public

No RSOs at Burro Canyon private ranges. Except maybe the ones you designate yourself.

We had so many great experiences on our private range at Burro Canyon. My advice is to do it. Don't worry about the long lead time, just get yourself on the schedule and go.

Every month we try go shooting locally. For a few years it was at Burro Canyon Shooting Park in the San Gabriel Mountains above Azusa, CA. Other times we'd simply go out to the Mojave or Nevada desert. These days we like the Carson City Gun Range.

We book every year. We also reserve a spot when we are done for the day for the next year.

As far as BBQ goes you need to use propane but I believe it is fine. At least that's what we always do.

wonder if i should do the same. book some fall dates since that is probably how long the wait time is anyways.

i think my issue is getting enough other people to go with me to make it worthwhile... would hate to book and i am the only one out of my friends that can show up.

That's what sucks about booking so far ahead. But usually there is at least 4-5 of us that end up going, otherwise you would be out $100 I think unless you decide not to go.

Book it on your birthday, that'll make people feel obligate to go! At least that's what my buddy who does the reservation does, most of the time there is at least 10 of us who show up.

I'm trying to convince them to go to BLM, maybe Hodge Rd or something so we don't have the business hours to deal with.
