Am i allowed to take my bullet buttoned rifles out now before registering? For those of you that have been to shooting ranges, have you seen folks with their unregistered AWs?

Look around the forums; there are threads talking about your question. I've gone shooting with a bullet button rifle and another one with a standard mag release. The range workers haven't said a thing. F**k it...

Take whatever you want to the range. Nobody should care. Range employees are not law enforcement, it's not their job, nor do they have the expertise to determine whose gear is legal and whose isn't. If you guys are that worried about the range, maybe you need to go to a different range.

I'm not a lawyer, but it might be possible for someone to doctor up an aiding and abetting case against the range. Why risk it?

To answer the OPs question, the popular opinion is that you are fine until the registration system is up and running. After that, proceed at your own risk.

Everyone has until Dec 31st to register their "grandfathered" BB rifles. Its a free ride until midnight at the end of the year.
