    Crazy revolver recoil

I recently had the opportunity(curse?) of shooting one of these, though we had way lighter handloads. Seeing this cracked me up a bit.

I have a 4 inch S@W 500 mag honestly love the firearm trigger is excellent and kick not near as bad as I thought it would be . Added an Alaskan Guide Holster and ready for fishing this year . I also have a 44 mag Ruger Alaskan and it Kicks harder than the 500 mag .

I don't know why people think these kick hard - the gun is huge and well designed, it's loud more than anything.

I shot the Alaskan Ruger, with a 2.5 inch barrel.....454 Casull...Not fun at all.

That thing flew back maybe 8-9 yards? Now that was funny

No thanks. I have a buddy with a Model 629 Classic 44 Mag with a 6.5" barrel, and I just hate shooting that thing. He loves getting me to shoot it but to me it's uncomfortable and unfun. I can't imagine shooting a 500 Mag.

I've got a .460 magnum. I think it's a lot of fun to shoot. Can't do more than 10 rounds though because it makes my hand go numb

                        My BiL has a 4" 500, I have a 454.

Neither one is bad. I ran 50-60 rounds thru the 454 at the range a few weeks back, along with about 160 357 mag and a ton of 22lr. Shot the best groups with the 454 actually, around 3/4" at 25' - I don't consider myself particularly tough. In fact I'm getting old and soft.

I just came back from shooting 44 mag bear loads through the 25 ounce 327PD. It quickly makes you pay attention to fundamentals!

Some of these guys with 500's crack me up at the range. Starving for attention making claims "this is the most powerful handgun in the world" and cannot hit paper at 15 yards lol.

I have three revolvers chambered in 480 Ruger, 454 Casull and 44 mag. After shooting the 480 and 454, the 44 mag feels like a 22.
