Dirty new American Eagle ammo in box

Last month I ordered ten boxes of Federal American Eagle 45 ACP 230gr FMJ ammo through Cabela's online. A couple weeks later I picked up my orders in-store and brought them home. This week after the holiday season came to an end, I had time to open the packages and was about to stash them away in my ammo cabinet when I noticed something unusual with these ammo. It seems there is a short row of 5 ammo on the far right of each box that is unusually dirty. However the rest of ammo in each box appears fine to me, nice and shiny.

I have never seen anything like this, especially being new out of box. The only pattern, as I've stated, is that the far right row of 5 ammo is dirty in each box. Whatever it is, it must have happened somewhere between Federal's packaging line and Cabela's warehouse. I'm confident this did not happen after the point it left Cabela's warehouse because I actually placed two orders for five boxes each (on the same day using two coupons) so they were packed separately.

So what happened to these ammo? They were factory packaged in white plastic tray, so that is where these "line" of darker and lighter discoloration came from.

It looks like the end of the box got wet or damp. The line looks like it is from where the bullet sits in the tray.

That would be my guess too. It more than likely won't be an issue either.

I thought it might have gotten wet too but it seems odd to me how the last row is so dirty while the next row next to it appeared to be ok to me.

Any idea how it might have gotten wet at some point between Federal Ammunition's warehouse and Cabela's warehouse?

If the ammo got wet, why isn't there any water damage on the box itself? The box looks like it's untouched. Very strange, look forward to what others say.

Pull all the dark rounds, shoot them next time you to the range to be done with them.

You will also need the box and the lot no. of the ammo. I once had a single faulty shotshell from a box of 25, Federal sent me a check for $10 or $20 for it (can't remember the exact amount). The single shell cost only $0.24 and it was crazy, but Federal does stand behind their ammo.

The crazy thing is people would actually spend the time to contact federal over 1 bad round, or some dirty brass.

Why else would the OP even bring it up unless he wanted approval from his imaginary friends to complain to Federal instead of just shooting it ?
