    Old firearm disposal

Suppose you had an old rusted firearm that you don't want anymore. Is there a legal way you're supposed to dispose of it or can you merely disassemble it and toss the parts into the trash?

I'd say scrub the rust off it and take it to a gun buy back.

And you sell the remainder at a gun buy back.

Hint: if you fab it up to resemble an EBR, you'll get more.

Drive down to the ghetto and throw it out on the street....

Just kidding. Cut the receiver in three pieces with a hack saw or a grinder with a cutting wheel.

I had the same problem as you OP.

I wound up selling the pistol here for $20.00. The buyer was one of many home gunsmiths here that wanted a very low cost gun to practice on.

We already have the only reasonable Gun Control we need, It's called the Second Amendment and it's the government it controls.

Is it so bad it will not function, ever, could be repaired yes, no. Like other poster said, demil use as decoration. In the southwest, every other house has guns like that for wall decoration. I say make it inoperable and though it up on the wall.
