Is the Bullet Button an Assault Weapon Feature Now?

Since DOJ is saying that the bullet button is part of an assault weapon for the new registration, does that mean if you have a featureless rifle, you can't have the bullet button on it?

A bullet-button does not constitute as a fixed magazine, it's viewed as a detachable magazine.

Not sure why you would want a BB on a featureless rifle in the first place.

Edit: I understand your question. If your rifle is featureless, you can have a BB on it.

No. You're welcome to have a bullet button on your "featureless" rifle that does not have a fixed magazine.

That would make sense if you wanted to allow minor children to shoot your RAW - making it featureless means it's no longer an "assault weapon," and keeping the bullet button is necessary to comply with 11 CFR 5477.

Begs the question though, does CADOJ consider it a case of "once an AW, always an AW until reregistered?" If that's the case, then the kiddos can't touch it.

that has been tossed out. The rifle is what it is at the time of examination by a qualified technician.

If its a RAW its a RAW
If it was DE-registered, its not a RAW.

if your AW is reconfigured into a rifle that is not an AW, its simply not an AW.
