    Featureless Build question

Thinking of making my AR-15 a featureless build after reading the DOJ's new regulations. Does anyone know if those kydex grips would be a good option? The new regulations don't allow for a pistol style grip "Beneath or below the top of the exposed portion of the trigger while firing." Sounds like the kydex grips would be a good way to comply with that.

lots of people agree. If you really want a DoJ approval letter, register your rifle, then after getting the registration letter, DE-register it by going featureless. They will request a picture for DE-registration and after accepting your appliance, the letter qualifies as proof your rifle is legal.

The Kydex grip wraps or "Fin Grips" are good options. There is also the hammerhead grip by Exile Machine thay is CA compliant.

If your sending a pic of your gun to the DOJ you might was well register it.

The point is you would have to register it. People are cautious about featureless for fear of an anti-gun nut claiming your firearm isnt legal. the best way to shut them up is by de-registration of an RAW because you submit photos of your featureless rifle to the DOJ to get them to de-register the RAW.

Right now in San Diego many people say the FRS-15 isnt a legal featureless build. Very soon I hope that will change or will be confirmed using this method.

without a DoJ letter confirming your firearm is not an RAW anymore, your featureless build legality is dependent on who is in the Jury of your peers..

Visit a local shop and finger the fins vs the hammerhead. Then you will know which fits your style before you buy.
