    Delayed from DOJ??

So my dealer called yesterday saying the DOJ put a "delayed" DNR on my Glock 19 I purchased a few weeks back. First time buyer, no criminal record, domestic violence, etc. got a DUI 16 years ago. An infraction in LA 26 years ago. Thoughts? Are they just super backed up with checks?

    Thanks in advance!

Something most likely flagged your app...I doubt it was the workload. It could be as simple as your name being close to someone else with baggage. Did you use your SSN on the app? Its optional, but helps avoid mistaken identity.

For now, just sit back until you get approv, denial, or no action.

No. I didn't use my SS#. Guy at the gun shop said this happens fairly often, so....he said to just wait. Thanks.

Welcome to Calguns. Don't worry about the SSN#, CA FFL's don't use it and it could be used for identity theft so the general consensus is to leave it off.

DOJ delays are becoming more and more common and there isn't much you can do but ride it out.

          Thanks!
I'm in no hurry to get my firearm, but really don't want to deal with any red tape. I'm almost positive I didn't use my SSN-too much identity theft risk.
Just baffled why I'd be flagged, but whatever.

Hopefully you did your homework before buying. And chose a FFL that agrees to deliver on an "Undetermined Status". If not, and your status goes undetermined, you will be SOL.

FFLs who refuse to deliver on "Undetermined Status" are DOJ butt puppets and do not deserve the business of Law Abiding gun buyers.

Seems more and more common. Just ride it out, doesn't sound like you have anything to worry about. I'm amazed I've never been delayed with all my past activity, especially the 18-24 months prior to the death of SSE. Kept expecting it and it never happened.

                  Thanks and agreed.
I bought from Peninsula Guns. I'm a first time buyer, so I unfortunately didn't do all the research.
