    Registration

Now on the optimistic side of registration (keep in mind I hate the fact that we're having this forced upon us). Now if everyone with a bullet button rifle does register and we're able to put on standard magazine releases, we would be making free state rifles a common thing again in California. Could this actually be a thing?

Hard to believe the CA gun community isn't out in the streets singing praise to the legisexuals for allowing us to have standard magazine releases, right???

I don't think they realized the repercussions of their amended assault weapons legislation.

Well if that is the case, it would be only "common" for the short term.

The major problem(from 2A perspective) of registration that I see is that it prevents transfer of AR/AK(as we know them today). In 20 years, the number of legally own AR/AK(as we know them today) in California would dropped significantly.

In my opinion, supporting registration would be similar to borrowing money and ask our off spring to pay them off(Not that we are not doing that).

They realize it, they don't care. The anti-gun lobby is applying the same successful strategy as the anti-tobacco lobby has done.

You don't need to eliminate guns all together in one fell swoop, you simply, year after year make it a little harder or more expensive to buy, sell, trade, possess, or use guns. In 30-40 years you wont need to outlaw guns, people just simply will have no interest in owning or using them because it is just too much of a hassle and they aren't interested.
