    Supply and demand I guess. Don't buy one make your own. eBay sales sheets and you can buy the screws and nuts at a hardware store.

            I think that the high priced grip wraps are purchased by:

            1) Those who value convenience/time over cost;
            2) Those who don't believe that they can actually make something themselves which will contribute to making their own rifle featureless;
            3) Those who have never read this article showing how easy it is to make their own grip wrap: http://firearmsandtraining.gunetools...ap-around.html
            4) Those who don't have access to Amazon or eBay to purchase cheap Kydex sheets and Chicago screws.

            BTW it can be even easier to make your own grip fin by cutting a flat piece of Kydex into the appropriate shape and either:
            1) Screwing it onto the support side of the existing A2 grip with sheet metal screws (you can put a drop of epoxy or CA adhesive into the hole first, if you like for more "permanence"); or
            2) Milling a slot into the back of a standard A2 grip and epoxying the fin onto the back of the grip (I also use reinforcing strips of glass fiber on either side of the fin at its base where it meets the grip).

            You just have to reach that magic state where whatever you overwrap, adhere or screw onto the grip prevents the thumb of your gripping hand from being able to reach/meet up with the opposing fingers of that hand.

                It's hard to believe people are charging exorbitant prices for items based on new laws, amiright?

                  Hopefully you have a large selection of exemplar firearms in your possession, and your spare time comes cheap. Otherwise $30 is a hard price to beat, day in and day out.

                  It is one thing to make your own, another thing entirely to make them for sale. To do it right takes time. A lot of dremeling, breaking/rolling and polish sanding the sharp edges, etc.

                  And yes, in order to satisfy a variety of customers with a quality fit, you are going to need a variety of firearm configurations in hand.

                  But good luck with it!

                          You are trying to sell a $50 stripped lower for $500, and you come here questioning the price of a grip wrap? http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1284656
