    Eye Protection

Okay so I've got one pair of sun glasses that I edc, they are comfortable, polarized and not too expensive incase I need to replace them. But strictly for shooting I just went thru and counted I have five different pairs of saftey glasses. Everything from clear lense, yellow lense, dark tint sunglasses and aviators(when you have to look cool). Is this "normal" or am I the only one with a bunch of shooting glasses for different conditions?

On a separate note but still the same vain I have three sets of ear pro, two sets of Howard leights, the impact sport and the non electronic ones for rainy days, also a box of disposable pugs(used in conjunction with the others). Better safe than deaf.

I have a bunch, but use my regular Oakleys virtually always. One of the reasons I got Oakleys is that they are impact rated, so I use them when I ride as well (have a spare set of clear riding glasses for nights, though).

For indoors I use clear glasses, but it's been years since I was last at an indoor shooting range.

Eye and ear protection is something that just accumulates. They are relatively cheap so I add them to larger orders if I want to try out something new. Never have a problem when I take people shooting...

The team at Lucky Gunner Labs exhaustively tests some of the most common shooting glasses that gun owners wear at the range for eye protection.

I fired my M16A2 with nose tip on the charging handle without any eye protection and I'm not going to start now.

I would think if you shoot often, having extra shooting glasses and ear protection is normal. Wife and I shoot trap regularly and we both have 2 sets of eye protection and custom ear plugs, along with spare electronic ear protection in case we have guests.

I use a Pillar Sport X6 Panther Post. It is very expensive, in fact, it is more expensive than most of my guns. But it is a very good shooting eye wear.
