    Fab-10

I have had a hard time finding a definitive answer to this question...I hope you guys can help...

I own a Fab-10 and have wanted to use it for ground squirrels, but am not sure how many rounds I can have in the mag and if I need to put some kind of restrictive mag follower that would only let me have a certain amount of cartridges in the mag.

If I did need some kind of mag follower, where could i find it??? I have been told that you could also fill the mag up with snap caps to only allow 5 or 3 rounds...is this a choice???

Also, with legal stuff completed, could I still encounter problems from wardens or local law enforcement for hunting with the Fab-10 (since it resembles an AR)???

FAB-10 with 10 round OEM mag is legal as-is, load 10 rounds in the mag and have at it. 10+1 if you're nasty.

Squirrels are varmints and not subject to hunting mag limits.

OK, first things first. What is your IP address? This question is way too easy/suspicious.

        Actually, this isnt a joke...haha

I have had so many different responses to this question, it isnt even funny anymore...

I called the DFG. They didnt know.

I called turners and fowlers. They both gave me different answers.

I have asked my neighbor and some LEO's. Different answers.

I posted on bloodydecks. No answer yet.

I was starting to think it was hopeless...

By the way, I dont know what an IP address is and I am confused by the meaning of OEM. I am new to both this forum and owning my own computer, so excuse my retardation...

Bushmaster Firearms International based in Carson City, Nevada, United States, is an American manufacturer and distributor of firearms. The company's product line revolves around semi-automatic pistol and rifle variants of the M4 / AR-15 design. Now made with 100% US materials and parts.

If you do your research here (see Gun Resources- top left corner of this page) you'll see that most of us here buy a stripped OFF LIST Lower (OLL) & built our own rifles with pinned 10 round magazine or with no pistol grip (with a spring retaining bracket or Monstergrip)

There are a couple of FFL dealers here who carry these lowers & complete parts kit, etc. Just take your time & do the research here. Good luck & welcome. Hope your intentions here are good

I have to ask "Are you a law enforcement agent on a official assignment to entrap members here?
Did you have an urge to spout off info about the Fab10? He already owns one. His question is to whether he needs to limit the capacity of his magazine for hunting.
          Please, calm down.

Unless you have one, first of all you'll need a hunting license.
California does not have a five round maximum hunting mag restriction, so you will be fine with the 10 rounder in the FAB-10.

The only mag restrictions is for scatterguns and it is 3 rounds.. 1 in the pipe and 2 in the mag and you MUST have a mag block for the scattergun to prevent more than 2 in the mag.

Yep. No mag restriction for centerfire rifles. Wow. California actually has one area where it has better laws than some of the other states.

                  You need a hunting license.
