A California pre-release rollout of 10,000 units in November would have been classic.

Manufacturers have no obligation to appease the oppressed, especially when they may not end up being sold. Getting shipped back (if that even happens) would be time and money to convert and swap mags on even 5,000 rifles

If its a straight pull and reasonably priced, I might buy it

I don't see it as appeasing the oppressed - with the amount of AR-15s being sold in CA recently, it just seems like a poor business strategy not to release them early for sale here
