I understand sticking to budgets, after all, any security is better than none. But you're looking for a safe to accommodate 24+ long guns. If their total value @ an average of $500/gun, that's $12,000. I would consider increasing your budget for a high quality safe, if at all possible.

Liberty Safe in Sacramento (they have sales and free/cheap delivery) or Visalia Safe.So my wife and I just moved into a new house, before I got to fix the StackOn Gun Cabinet to the floor we were broken into. Thank god they barely got the cabinet over the wall. Needless to say the whole situation sucked.
Im looking to get a new safe, one that actually will do its job and not be a glorified filing cabinet. I have space cleared in the garage (which is attached to the house) for the new safe but there are so many to choose from. I got a budget of $900 with delivery and I was wondering what you guys would recommend.
So far I've seen the:
BigHorn 19
Sports Afield SA5940
Cannon EX40
Would welcome all advice.
None of the under-1000$ will be super-burglar-proof but if you install it in a good location and bolt it to the floor/wall it will be pretty good.Comment

Costco has the Bighorn Classic on sale for $200 off, so I picked one up as I bought one a few years ago and it has served me well.MAGA - drain the swamp^D^D^D^D^Dcesspool!

I've been quite happy with my Liberty safes and they way they're built. Though they might be a little out of your range (some might be close though, depending on the size & model) but I also know that they do get used safes in on trade-in once in a while that might meet your budget.NRA Life MemberComment

Valley Village is in the Los Angeles area, I believe.Comment

I'm very happy with my Liberty Colonial 30, but it is above your price range. At 650 LB it costs me a few hundred dollars to have the safe movers come out each time I move to a new place. I spent about $1600 + delivery on the safe itself back in 2012, so I'm guessing it is near $2k or so now.
I'd suggest that you consider upping your budget for something like this though. It would take a very determined criminal with a good amount of time to either get into the safe or figure out how to take the entire thing with them.Comment

Update:
First off thank you guys for all your comments and suggestions. Second off Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Third, they caught the guy committing an armed robbery in broad day light ended up going on a high speed chase after.
I currently have my guns in a friends safe until i figure this situation out and add a few more dollars to my budget. I am working with insurance and will probably use the proceeds of my stolen gun to get a better safe (it was an LCP 380, i got 3 more for sale FYI).
Anyway I really like the Canon safe at the moment but have checked out others as well. I have gone to a few gun stores to see the safes in person. i have bumped my budget to about $1000 so please keep the ideas coming in and let me know what you got all your ideas I have looked into. Thank god I'm not in such a rush at the moment.
Happy Holidays from my family to yours!Ezra Shore

Remember go large....personal papers and the wifes jewelry cut down on gun space.
Keep checking the local classifieds for a used safe.
Someone moving out of town may be looking to sell rather than take it with them on the move.
Not familiar with cannon.
I like Amsec and Liberty.Comment
