Not Bolting Down a Safe

a friend of mine rented his house to a B.P. agent, lease agreement stated no drilling in post tension foundation. the dumb-*** drilled holes for his safe and the whole foundation cracked and shifted. the guy gets $2000. dollars garnished from his check a month to pay for a house he doesnt live in. be safe ask the landlord.

This is what I would worry about. Also what another poster said about plumbing and such in walls.

You'll need to scuff the bottom of the safe and the floor to get it to stick good.

Although I've never used it myself, I did run across a drop safe glued to the floor with Liquid Nail. It was a bear to get loose.

Can you put it in a closet, and put a deadbolt on the closet door?

I lived for 5 years with a el cheapo safe in a closet, not bolted down, with stacks of ammo cans in front of it. I would chain the ammo cans together, and around the cheapo safe when I would leave town for a few days.
