NO MORE AR, AK, BULLET BUTTON RIFLES TRANSFERS.

This might not be the place to post this but If your selling a Bullet button rifle, AR15, AK47,AK74, AR10, ANY RIFLE WITH A BULLET BUTTON, you might want to check with your Gun Shop to see if there still doing PPT TRANSFERS.
I HAVE CHECKED, TURNERS, ALAMO PAWN, GUNRUNNERS, WIMPEYS PAWN, GUNSLINGER, And none of them are doing ppt on them. Check with your dealer before making a deal to do a transfer on them.
Got to hate this new Calif law.
    Good luck with your sales.

I'm not surprised, no ffl wants to have one of those on site come January 1 and risk a surprise inspection by the DOJ

Not only this, but they'd rather focus of selling off their stock first than anything else.
***PSA: Don't be that guy and post "Contact me, I'm interested". Dummy, YOU'RE the one who's interested. YOU contact the seller! ***

Eric51inaz@yahoo.com is accurate, however Alamo Pawn will still take transfers for AR's for a couple more days.

The only difference is, say you want to sell your standard AR to someone else on here, you can do it at Alamo Pawn however you'll need to take OFF the pistol grip and remove the buffer tube/stock as well. Separate it from the upper, take the ******* up lower when you do your PPT and they'll accept the transfer.

Then when you get it back [presumably before Jan 1st], you just re-add the grip and the buffer and stock. And it'll be as if you did a regular PPT before this debacle starts. It's a pain in the *** and it's extra work, but if you're desperate to sell, there's your loophole, do it quickly.

Did I mention I'm currently on the market to buy a few AR's and AK's?
I pay cash, show up on time, no BS. Send me what you got.

Just do the PPT as a receiver or lower only. The FFL has no risk of being stuck with a complete rifle that way, if for some reason you didn't pick it up by January 1st.

Some still don't give a damn and say even the lower will be considered an "assault weapon"

                    I just called Turners Downey..
                    They said...it's A FALSE RUMOR.
                    Not TRUE.
Sales ..though said rifle better picked up 23:59 of their shelf on 12/31/16..or it will be turned to SHERIFF.
                    DON'T let that be yours.

A fellow calgunner and myself were turned down at Smokin Barrel in Simi Valley to do a PPT they said they are no longer doing them. Went to Grettas guns 4 blocks away and it was not a problem.

Anyone have an idea as to why some stopped? Was a notice sent out or something? Is it due to overflow or fears of late pickups?
