I have the pistol one. It's really only useful when you're dealing with metal mags with fairly sharp edges (ex: CZ75 mags).

I dont see the use for the pistol because i do the same motion. The rifle one. Super nice!!!

I have a good friend that loves maglula I am able to load mags manually as fast as he can using that tool. He hates me for that.

Then again my hands are like one big callous due to my profession. For those not as hand tough. That is a great tool.

I don't load my mags any other way. I have six of them. Mostly use the ones for my pistols. I can't load my M&P 9mm mags any other way.
The AR stripper version is also great.

Add me to the list of UpLula users. Standard equipment at the range for me. Makes loading a handgun magazine much faster. I can and have loaded them by hand. But why?

I didn’t use one until I bought a HK 9mm w/ double stack magazine. I think H&K used a cut down garage door spring in that thing. That thing is a PITA to hand load.

I have the one for pistols. I don't use it for anything except for loading the last round into my Glock 21 mags. It was worth it just for that reason alone.

I have one for pistol magazines and also one for AR magazines (StripLULA). They are both great tools to have at the range.

I shoot at public outdoor ranges and when shooting pistols/rifles, they have a time limit for shooting before calling a cease fire for target check/change. Having the lula mag loaders means I can put more rounds down range before the cease fire is called.

For the AR one, I pre-load the rounds into stripper clips at home so that when I'm at the range, I can very quickly load all 10 rounds into the magazine. If you have to load rounds without stripper clips, it works too and IMO slightly easier.

I can easily shoot 500 to 1000 rounds on a day at the range. It is a must have tool to keep my thumbs happy, especially the day after.
