I bought a bolt-action receiver a while back and it's finally ready to ship. Called around to all the Bay Area gun shops and all but ONE refused to do the transfer. What the hell is going on lately? Most of the shops were like, "*HEAVY SIGH*... Well, you know, we don't really do that anymore. Sorry. Bye." Are out of state FFL transfers really that bothersome? How else do you get something like this in your possession when all the shops refuse?

Nah, I did find a place. But as an aside, UG Imports isn't doing anymore transactions for the year according to their website. Never heard of them before, though. Thanks!Comment

I think UGI got burgled and robbed, so they had to close down business. there's a thread about this on their forumComment

AFAIK Turners isn't doing PPT after 12-1-16.
Neither is OC Armory.

This isn't an AR15, though. It's just the receiver for a bolt-action rifle.
Not a PPT, either. It's a transfer from another FFL.
In any event, I did finally find a shop to do the transfer. But I had to call EVERY shop in the area. They were the only one that said yes.Comment
