Can we still purchase AK in 2017

Hey guys, just wondering, with the new laws in 2017, will we the CA residents still be able to purchase AKs (featureless version maybe?) in local store or online?

you can get factory featureless versions of AK's

Too bad the Saiga's are banned from import, since they were the most affordable way to get an AK and it was featureless to boot. the only other choice was the Vepr's but they were 2x the price of Saigas (when Saigas weren't banned from import.)

To be more specific though the only AK's around next year will be AW or featureless. Featureless will be the only ones sold if stores feel up to it.

I have a featureless I just wanted to make sure I could sell it legally in California next year.

I agree, and this is the most worrisome part to me. Who will be willing to be a test case?

Which is why this seems the most prudent response:

                        ?

Various online and b&m stores have been selling featureless rifles for years.

That's not to say that every store will be on the ball, but as soon as it's apparent that they are losing sales to other retailers...

FUD. There is nothing in existing law or the new laws passed that would effect the commercial or private sale of featureless rifles.

The quote you posted is about gun store selling featureless rifles. It'd be the same as not selling or transferring ar pistols when available. Some dealers don't want to get involved.

it is the same as the gun stores that weren't and some still don't sell AR's.

they believe it is illegal and don't want to educate themselves in the laws.

featureless rifles will be the same.

i would bet that less than 25% of stores will start selling them starting Jan 1st. and then after about 2 years that number will rise to 75% of gun stores will be willing to sell and PPT featureless rifles.

the first adopters will most likely be gun stores that depend on EBR sales.
