No More Ammo for Me -- Done, Full Stop, etc.

Took a very honest look at my stash and usage last night and realized that at the rate I am using it (once every couple of months, maybe 100-200 rounds) I likely have a 15 year supply of 22LR, eight year supply of 45 ACP, maybe 6-7 years in 5.56 /7.62x39/308 and an infinite supply of 12g (never use it).

Retire in 6-7 years, then out of here.

No **** ammo permit for me. My CC will be happy and more for you guys.

Don't care how good the deal is now.

I've got a monthly budget only for factory ammo through the end of next year. After that I shoot what's on my shelf and reload the empty brass as I go. After 12/31/2017 I will not spend a single penny for factory ammo in this $#|+hole state. I will also not buy any components here, which wont matter anyway since when Newscum becomes governor reloading will require a permit and background check as well.

OP, you may have enough that you won't shoot it all in decades but we all know the real point of hording is to piss off the newbies by hogging the entire supply so we can then relish in their tears here when they whine about prices and availability.

That was just one shipment from what I bought Black friday, more boxes incoming. But even throughout the past year I keep telling myself I'm done with ammo but I still keep picking up good deals. I lost track of my ammo count when I surpassed 10k if each caliber I use. Pretty sure if count it all I'm realize how ridiculous my stash is. I've never been addicted to anything, even when I use to smoke cigarettes in my younger days I quite no problem. Ammo is a addiction I truly have now.

I should also admit that I'm in a similar situation (though I'm like 50 years from retiring). But I have more ammo than I could shoot in two decades at the rate I shoot. I'm fully aware of that and yet I haven't slowed my wreckless charge into credit card debt to get more and more and more

i go through shotgun ammo the quickest but it is also the least amount i carry on hand.. i only have like 2-3 cases at a time for shotgun.

i probably have just enough in regards to centerfire and rimfire ammo if i continue on my current outings routine.

i will probably make one last purchase from cabelas during winter holidays using the discounted gift cards for shotgun ammo only. hoprfully there will be a sale so i can purchase more.

and btw, the regulations don't start until Jan 1 2018. so you still have all of next year to use up ammo and replace.

after 4 years im finnally gettin very close to stopping buyin ammo. i kept moving my benchmarks but now have settled on these numbers. 22lr...100,000 rounds(less than 3000 to finish) 9mm...(meant to stop at 10,000 but allready got more than double that) 38,357,45,223 and 762 by 39....10,000 each and all most there on each caliber.22 mag... 5,000 and allready passed that. 40 and 380 at or past 2,000 each. and smaller amounts on my other calibers and guages . thats my statsh plus 200 rounds with/for each firearm.
