Two Page Stag Arms ad in this month's Guns & Ammo

Did anyone notice how Stag's ads in Guns & Ammo have been getting bigger since late 2005? Just look at their nice two page ad in this month's issue with SWAT team members... I wonder where they're getting the money to pay for these big ads *cough* Cali Sales...

My buddy who is quark on here was on an Alaska cruise about a week ago. At his assigned dinner table was a guy who owned a machine shop in Connecticut. The topic of guns came up and he said something along the lines of "I have this buddy who has been selling an absolute ton of guns to California. Have you heard of Stag Arms."

Quark responded - "I own two."

Yeah stag should be kissing our feet for the big fat paychecks they got from us. Not many people knew about stag until Nov/Dec 05. I heard that we cleared out their full 06 inventory of lower in less then a months time. The funny thing is companies that would not even talk to us are now fighting for our business. I think the firearms industry now sees that CA is a major player in the market. Kal-tec sold just as many SU-16s in Cali as they did in the whole rest of the country.

Could it be that there are many more kooks, wannabe soldiers, and just plain jackass's in California? Su-16s and Kal-tec as a whole are junk guns but because thais "Nanny" state says you can not have AR or AK type rifles, all the kooks and wannabbes snap them up. The same applys to OOL

I guess I am a jackass, but there are plenty of SU-16s sold in other states without restrictions.

Only time that guy ever posts is to rant on with random flames. Usually seems to choose his words carefully to aggravate folks.

Personally, I've been ignoring him almost since I started - he's usually doesn't contribute anything useful.

Edit: Ok, he just posted that satirical bit from a newspaper, so I stand corrected today. Overall though, I stand by the statement that ignoring him is the best policy.

Last time I was up in Reno at the Big Reno Show there were a ton of Kel-Tech rifles being sold, most vendors who sold AR-15s were also selling SU-16s. There were plenty of people from Nevada buying them too. The SU-16 is simply a popular rifle because you can use the AR-15 magazines you already have so you don't have to buy new mags and at $450 you get a fun rifle without breaking the bank.
