Magnifier red dot combo aiming question

So I'm well aware when using a red dot you shoot with both eyes open. But does that change once you add a magnifier into the equation?
I just got a vortex strike fire and x3 magnifier, I wasn't sure if I now have to use one eye to shoot or both. Probably a noob question but figured my fellow calguners could help me out. Also if you where wondering this setup is going on my sks with the Kwik Rail

I shoot with my left eye closed when using the magnifier to get a better picture. You probably could train to shoot it with both eyes but you'll just have to see what feels right. AWhat kind of magnifier did you buy?

Got yeah. I'll give both a try and see how it goes. I ended up buying the Vortex VMX-3T. Has good reviews and plus the optic I have is the vortex strike fire ||

I use to have an aim point but I ended up selling it with my last ar build
