Anyone watch "Future weapons" with Tavor?

Any of you guys been watching "Future weapons" on discovery? One of the episode had Israeli made assault rifle, called Tavor. Suppose to replace M16/M4s in Israel in few years. I've always thought Steyr-AUG had the best bulpup design but Tavor is pretty hot. On the show, they showed some IDF girls using these ... Anyhow, some more rilfes to drool over.

    Some info:

Yeah the Tavor is a nice looking bullpup. For a while either DS Arms or Barrett was going to import them into the US. Guess the deal didn't pan out as that was a good 3-4 years ago and still no Tavor.

All the news footage I saw the Israel troope were still carrying M16/M4's. It seems they haven't made the switch yet. I think that rifle may have been intended for CQB and urban warfare only.

FN2000........Looks bulky and overly complicated. Handled one before, had a very cheap feeling and felt "poofy" in the hands.

That poofy feeling is the same from the P90.

Completely rounded and smooth, and very sturdy.

Is the Tavor 5.56, or are they applying a different round? Or will it have replacable uppers like the AR platform?

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Yes...... No........ Sort of (they will have different barrel lenght/profiles for different applications).

Amazing similarity in appearance. Of course the fish isn't wearing a yellow bib-overall or glasses.

what kinda trout is that? thought it was a ling cod

on the TAR21, I've read from blogs that it was in wider circulation in early 2k as some units were trained in the new platform. From the feedbacks, the gun's not as light and balanced, not as easy to shoulder as the m4(TAR's butt heavy like the enfields and augs). They were still working out the kinks with red dots and laser illuminators. Read about the new Mars red dot scope at
