Can someone shed some light on why these ammo cans are not proposition 65 certified? Palmetto State Armory refuses to ship them to CA since they don't meet the requirements of proposition 65.

Ammo cans not Prop 65 Certified?

The 2016 Prop 65 was in reference to plastic bags. This is probably referring instead to the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, which was also referred to as Proposition 65. It required further restriction on drinking water, lead paint, toxic chemicals, and stuff that caused cancer. It's why there's signs at Jack in the Box warning that charred hash browns might give you cancer. This probably applies to ammo cans because of the paint used on them. -
