Does it really matter? People have ND's with all types and brands of guns. Since I have never see any gun go off all by itself without some type of input from the user, it nearly always is a user error of some type.

I agree, but with the info given it doesn't matter what gun it was it either had a safety malfunction or the guy didn't have the trigger covered and something set it off. Maybe the gun being carried had major diy trigger mods that made it go off by a mouse fart, who knows until the info is out.
