    Is the Easy Jig That Easy?

    How Easy is the Easy Jig ? Apparently on YouTube you can Mill out a 80% lower in 30 min or less. Any one have experience on this ?

    Took me an hour and i have no real experience with milling or any power tools fot that matter

        Take your time. Your not milling your routing. Per their instructions. Plenty of instructions online.

            I think if you use a 7075 lower and expect to do it at the same speed as the 6061 lower that they used for the video, you will be disappointed.

            I found that a moments inattention during machining causes problems, I found it better to work only as long as I found it enjoyable and focus was not an issue.

                Yes, it's that easy.

                No, it will probably take you an hour to 1 1/2 hours to mill it and another hour to clean up all the aluminum shavings.

                Take your time. Slow, shallow passes. Use cutting fluid.

                  Lol, because it's not. Maybe a half hour of actual metal cutting time, but including all the time in between to clean shavings, cool the bit with cutting oil, reposition the jig, etc, it's more like an hour and a half to 2 hours. That's been my going rate, and I also like to file down the sharp edges and wash the lower with dish soap after.
