Hello Guys & Gals,
I'm new to all of this amazing gun stuff and I have a question, that I think some of you might be able to help me with.
So as the title somewhat entails I was recently denied a DROS (is that the correct term?) because like a dummy I tried to purchase 2 new handguns within the 30 day waiting period.
The first Handgun was a Uberti 1873 Cattleman II.
Details:
Transaction Date: 10/27/16
Earliest Delivery Date: 11/06/16
Latest Delivery Date: 11/26/16
So that went through perfectly, no problems whatsoever. If I recall correctly I picked up the Uberti on 11/08/16
I was so excited about said gun I had to have another so I went on to Budsgunshop.com and purchased a Smith & Wesson 686-6 Revolver and had it shipped to a local FFL.
S&W 686-6 Details:
Transaction Date: 11/02/16
Earliest Delivery Date: 11/12/16
Latest Delivery Date: 12/02/16
Obviously shortly after the Transaction date of the S&W the FFL received a denial letter for my DROS.
So after all of those boring details, my question is:
When should I have the Smith & Wesson DROS'd again? Is it 30 days from the 1st Transaction Date of the Uberti? Or the Earliest Delivery Date? Seeing as the DROS for the S&W was denied does that somehow extend the 30 waiting period?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I was really excited to go shooting both handguns at the end of this month, but that isn't going to happen. Now I would just like to know when is the earliest I can take possession of the S&W I've already paid for in full and is just sitting there waiting to be fired.
Thanks a lot for the help.
