    Keeping it simple

The less junk I have to think about, the better I tend to shoot so I like to keep things simple
    One or two firearms
A box or two of each caliber ammo
A spare magazine and/or speed loader
Targets, stapler, pasters, ear and eye protection, roll of masking tape (doubles as buff pasters)
An old coffee can to police brass(mine is an over 20 year old Hills Bros.) a Bore snake for quick cleaning while the barrel is still warm ( a more thorough cleaning awaits at home) and an old cloth diaper for wiping down fingerprints so they don't etch the bluing.
A gun case with a padlock that satisfies my state's transportation regulations
All of it fits in a small canvas bag and the coffee can.
    That's it!
How simple (or not) is your range kit?

I hate taking too much crap out. I try to limit myself to 3 guns.
Kinda depends on the trip. Sometimes we'll head out with just .22's or a pistol. But if it's a full on day trip with trap shooting and families, more junk comes.

This is strictly BLM/Private Property shooting. Wont step foot in a "range".

If I'm heading to BLM I break out all the gear since usually its a decent sized group I'm with. If I'm heading to the my usual indoor handgun range I'll try limit it to 2 or 3 calibers and a max of 3 guns per caliber.

I love you and miss you pop.
I'll meet you on the range in heaven, keep a bench open for me.

I dont even waste money on fancy gun cases, I use an old Anorak / parka to wrap my rifle up, and toss it in the trunk [also helps to disguise my rifle when loading guns in my vehicle]

I use an old ice chest to transport handguns locked in a zippered handgun soft case, I cut the sleeves off old camo army shirts to use to wrap my handguns separately to keep them from getting damaged when transported or stored, no fancy store bought gun cases / socks for storage

No fancy gun / range bag necessary, just use an old gym bag with a thick piece of cardboard cut out in the bottom so you can carry heavy items like ammo, rifle rest, etc

I usually only shoot one rifle and maybe two handguns, and I make my own paper targets with a old cardboard box and a can of spray paint to make a bright circle to shoot instead of buying targets at the store.

and I only go to the range about every 3 - 4 months to conserve ammo / gas

                Almost always:

                Long Guns:

                Two .22LR rifles.
One AR15 variant of some sort
One .30 military rifle of some sort. Usually a Garand, an M1A or an AR10
If I plan to shoot some trap or skeet at the club, I will take a shotgun.

                Handguns:

                Two .22's -- a revolver and a semi-automatic of some sort.
                One 1911
                One or more Glocks
A big boomer of some sort. Usually a revolver.

                My range bag includes:

                Ammo

                Mags and speed loaders

Eyes and ears (plugs and muffs)

Cleaning kit. I don't leave the range with dirty guns simply because I don't want that hanging over my head.

Small "utility kit" -- small brass hammer, gunsmithing screwdrivers, golf tees (some of you know why) etc.

                Shop rags

Thick terrycloth towel to lay over the bench

Some are forever stuck at the maturity level most commonly found in bad middle school students.
Likely because they were ostracized or picked-on themselves in response to their own behavior.
Wouldn't it be great if the real world also had an Ignore List?

My backpack is at a pick-up-and-go status. Eyes(2), ears(2), targets, screw driver, and UpLula. Even if I bring no guns, I can easily rent one at a range. But I have the bare essentials for a comfortable day at the range.

If I want to shoot just handguns, I'll drop 2 or 3 in the backpack along with ammo and am ready roll.

If I want to shoot rifles, I'll pack a couple in a dual rifle bag along with ammo and am ready to roll. Takes 15 minutes to load up, not including the time I take to load up my mags the night before.

Everything stays in the range box except ear protection. The ear muffs stay in the truck since they also get used at the race track. Just add a few guns and ammo, grab a pack of targets and I’m ready to go.

I used to bring it all, then spend all day cleaning...

Now, a couple here and there. once a year, we go all out on BLM. Whats a range?

Mine usually consists of 2 pistols, 2 boxes of ammo, extra mags, speedloaders and eyes and ears. All fits in my NRA bag I got for membership.

Depending on what I am taking(I have no choice other than Angeles)I take enough to make the trip worthwhile since I really dislike my only choice. I bought a rolling cart to take everything so I only have to make one trip from the car and back again when I leave......
