    Clocking a comp on a savage?

    Just bought a jp comp for my savage, what is the best way to clock this bad boy? I don't have a vice but I can make leverage. Comp with crush washer sits at about 7o clock so it has a bit to go. Any make shift solutions that won't damage the chassis?

    Peel washer or jam nut will get things lined up correctly.
    Eliminates the need for a vice.

    Sent using 2 cans and a long string.

      Boom, headshot.

      You can use a couple peel washers and a crush washer can't you?

        To me to host peel washers look like a standard typical washer. I wander if I can just grab them from a hardware store?

          Peel washers are layered washers that you separate with heat. Stak as many as you need to achieve the timing.

          They are not regular washers you find in a hardware store. YMMV tho.

          Use them alone without the crush washer and it'll get the muzzle fob perfect.

              YMMV=your mileage may vary

              I can understand your giddiness after getting a new toy. I also get that you want to shoot it with pops while you're camping this week. But starting THREE threads about getting that comp on your gun on a Sunday just may be a bit much. It'll fire without the comp. Go have fun with your dad and stop stressing over the comp. You can get it done later.

                  Jam nut is the simplest solution.
